Your private walking tour begins just outside Accademia Gallery, where you will meet your expert, local guide.* Here, your guide will usher you into the gallery to see Michelangelo’s David—perhaps the most recognized sculpture in the world—and other timeless artworks by various Renaissance masters.
From the Accademia Gallery, your guide will lead you through Florence’s medieval streets and alleys to the enigmatic Basilica of St. Lawrence (Basilica di San Lorenzo) and into the Medici Chapel, where once prominent members of the Medici family are buried.
As you wind your way through historic Florence, your guide will amuse you with Florentine histories, legends, and tales of local peculiarity.
