This private tour begins at a location of your choosing within Rome’s city center, where you will meet your local, expert guide. From here, it is a short drive to your first destination, the Basilica of Saint Clement. Here, your guide will lead you through the basilica’s underground, where you will find evidence of its transformation from an ancient Roman domus to a medieval church.

Your journey continues to the Catacombs of Saint Callixtus. Here, you will find a labyrinth of ancient, underground burial tunnels where a half-million Christians are buried, and where many Christian martyrs and popes are currently interred.

The final destination of your tour is the Crypt of the Capuchin Friars, where the bones of over 3000 friars decorate the walls—who is behind these uncanny, yet dazzling displays remains a mystery. To conclude this tour, your private chauffeur will drop you off at a location of your choosing within Rome’s city center.

*Alternatively, this tour offers entry to the nearby Catacombs of Saint Sebastian (Catacombe di San Sebastiano).
