Your tour begins at the Basilica of St. Mary Major (Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore), where you will meet your expert, local guide. This magnificent, ancient basilica is home to splinters of sycamore taken from the manger in which baby Jesus once lay. From here, your guide will take you to the Basilica of St. Praxedes (Basilica di Santa Prassede), where you will find the Column of Flagellation on which Jesus was scourged.

Your journey continues to the Holy Steps. These are the same steps on which Jesus stood as he received his judgement from Pontius Pilate.

Next, your guide will lead you to the Basilica of St. John Lateran (Basilica di San Giovanni Laterano), or the “Cathedral of Rome”, where the skulls of St. Peter and St. Paul have been under Vatican protection for centuries. Then, you will follow your guide to one of the holiest places in the world - the Basilica of the Holy Cross (Basilica di Sante Croce in Gerusalemme) the final destination of your tour.

The Basilica of the Holy Cross was built upon earth taken from Mount Calvary in Jerusalem and brought to Rome in the 4th century CE. Here, you will find some of the most significant relics in Christendom. A nail from The Crucifixion. Thorns from The Crown of Thorns. Wood from the cross on which Jesus was crucified, and more.
