From there, enter the monument itself and ascend to the middle tier for a panoramic look across the arena, before walking through the Triumphal Gate—just like the gladiators did. Stand on the arena floor, peer down into the underground tunnels, and picture the roar of the crowd and the seat where the Emperor once sat.

Proof of identification is required, so please bring a valid form of photo ID for each guest.

There will be a security check upon entering the Colosseum. Any weapons, sharp objects, glass or aerosol containers will be confiscated, so please do not bring these items to the tour.
